Family Camp - Labor Day weekend

Would you join us September 4-7, 2020 for Family Camp at Oil Belt!

For years, Family Camp has been a non-negotiable for many.  We look forward to continue that with our powerful worship, family activities and camping!

2020 Family Camp will be themed off our summer camp theme: Leave it at the Gate.  We will be focused on what does it look like to follow God.

Nikomas Perez, Campus Pastor at Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles, will be our evening speaker.  Nikomas grew up in Flora and attended Oil Belt as a camper. We're excited to hear him speak each evening session!

There are a few changes you can expect, and more that may develop as we get closer to the event.  Check out the information below to get registered for camp!

  • Family Camp 2020 is FREE!
Yes, you heard that right! Because of the adjustments you’ll see below, we are making it easier to attend this year!

  • Register Online! To prepare for meals and seating, we ask you to register at oilbelt.com

  • Lodging:  Due to restrictions, lodging is limited to bringing your own RV/camper or tent.

  • Activities: New this year will be “Family Challenges!” Be prepared to use free times to complete the challenges. The pool and other activities will still be available, but expect a little less “structure.”  Activities will be available so families can distance as needed.

  • Drive-In: We’ve adjusted worship times if you’d prefer to come but not spend the night.  Below are worship times so you can plan accordingly:                       Friday, Sept 4:                     6:00p
                   Saturday, Sept 5:                 10:00am
                   Saturday, Sept 5:                 6:00pm
                   Sunday, Sept 6:                   10:00am
                   Sunday, Sept 6:                   6:00pm

  • Preacher Boy Competition:  The competition will be by video instead of live.   The winner will receive scholarships to local bible colleges!

  • Food: Food will be served as take-out.  There will be multiple dining areas for distancing.

  • Kids’ Programming: Due to restrictions, there will not be kids programming offered during worship times.  Sessions will be family-oriented to accommodate all ages.

  • Offering: Instead of registration fees, there will be offering times at each session to give to cover the costs of Family Camp.  A normal year of Family Camp costs $20,000. Even though this isn’t a normal year we still are setting the goal to raise $20,000 to go towards Oil Belt!

Be sure to watch for more information as we approach the event!
