Thursday, October 15th is going to be a great day for those 55 years old and older throughout the Oil Belt Camp area. It will be our Sr. Adult Day!
This year, our theme this year is “Lighting the Way”. It comes from Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Our guest speaker this year is David Duncan. David Duncan is a mentor, trainer, and coach for development professionals, churches, and nonprofit organizations. Having started in fund development work in 1989, he has been a practitioner for decades. David extensively understands nonprofit fundraising, donor relationship development, and retention. Through his development work, he has colleagues and friends coast to coast. For more than 30 years, David has also been a counsel to individual Christian stewards. Through a straightforward, genuine, honest, and sincere approach, David has helped thousands fulfill their generosity desires and achieve “God’s plan of stewardship for their giving.” David’s knowledge and experience help clients navigate current, deferred, estate, planned, and non-cash giving strategies – to fund their visionary Kingdom projects. David is a devoted husband, dad, and Poppie who enjoys hunting, fishing, and almost any outdoor activity (not golf).
Music will be led by Dee Ann Schnautz. With a background in education, leadership, and ministry, Dee Ann Schnautz now serves as a mental performance coach, helping educational leaders, ministry leaders, and western athletes lead with confidence and purpose. She is passionate about encouraging women and pointing them to Jesus through worship and the Word. She also hosts western women’s retreats, creating space for women to connect deeply with God and one another, so they will remember they are never walking alone. She serves alongside her husband, Jonathan Schnautz, the minister at Antioch Christian Church in Texico, Illinois, and together they have two amazing adult children and two precious grandchildren.
Doors open at 8:30am. Worship and sessions will begin at 9am. We will conclude the sessions at noon and eat lunch. After lunch, attendees are welcome to be dismissed when they’re finished eating and visiting.
The registration fee is $20. Pre-register by October 3rd so we can prepare the right number of meals.
