We want to invite you to the Jr. High Strange Overnighter on October 12-13!
Strange Overnighter is an amazing event for 6th-8th grade students, although some youth groups define Jr High as 7th-8th and that’s totally fine too.
Strange is organized slightly different than a week of summer camp. Instead of students individually registering, they must register and come with a leader through their church or youth group. Why you ask? We focus on making this event a time for you to meet the kids in your youth group and getting to know them. You’ll notice that Strange is great for the “fringe” student or for your regular youth group attenders to invite their friends.
Registration cost is $25, which includes a T-Shirt for campers/faculty pre-registered by September 18th.
To register for Strange, have your students fill out the Strange Registration Forms included here. On September 18, contact the camp office through phone or email and let us know how many students and leaders your church is bringing. We do not charge adult leaders to serve, but let us know their shirt size as well.
We will try everything in our power to get students in for this event, but space is limited so register ASAP! We will take students after September 18, if possible, but they may not get a t-shirt.
Check-in for Strange is at 6pm Sunday. With the late check-in, supper will be more of a heavy snack than a meal; we’d recommend eating before you come with your students. Monday morning we will have breakfast. Check-out is at 11am, so lunch will not be provided.
This year’s theme is titled “What Would Jesus Do?” and is based off the 90’s wristband fad. We’ll be looking at stories of Jesus and how he responded to different situations that Jr Highers may face today.
We’re looking forward to a great event! If you have any questions or would like more info, contact the Camp Office! Thanks!
