March 6th-7th
This year, our theme is “Happy Days”. Penny Arnold and Step Forward are back enlisting their high school student team to help plan and lead again. We are going back to the 50s/60s era with poodle skirts, leather jackets and classic cars!
What can you expect at The Big Overnighter? This event is organized slightly different than a week of summer camp. Instead of students individually registering, they must register and come with a leader through their church or youth group.
Why, you ask? We focus on making this event a time for you to meet the kids in your youth group and get to know them. You’ll notice that the Big Overnighter is great for the “fringe” student or for your regular youth group attenders to invite their friends.
A flyer link is located at bottom of page that you can post in your youth room or on your bulletin board. Registration cost is $20.
A registration form is also located at bottom of page. To register, have your students fill out the release form included here. Pre-registration is due by February 26th, so on or before that date, contact the camp office with your group’s numbers: male students, male faculty, female students and female faculty. We encourage 1 adult to 5
students.
It’s grown year after year, so that means space is limited. We expect this event to fill up, so walk-ins will not be allowed. Our total capacity is around 300 students & leaders, depending on breakdown of boys/girls. Be sure to be updating the office with your numbers as we get closer to the event. This is a great thing, but please be flexible as we will probably be putting groups in cabins and anywhere we can make space!
Registration & Doors open at 5:30pm and programming begins at 6:00pm. Supper will be provided shortly after check-in. Breakfast will be served the next morning, but lunch is not provided since the event ends at 11am.
We’re looking forward to a great event! If you have any questions or would like more info, contact the Camp Office!
